| Frequently
Asked Questions
1. Do you charge by hour or by flat fee?
After I gather the scope of your project I will provide a
flat fee based on a system of pricing I use determined by
estimated time needed to complete your work from start to
finish. I'll also keep you well informed of timing so that
we can remain within scope and budget, and allow you the opportunity
to remain in control.
2. Do you provide images for use in my design?
I have a collection of royalty-free imagery which can be used
freely in your designs. For use of professional photography,
images can be licensed per useage by third-party providers,
my favorite of which is istockphoto.com
because they have an excellent selection and my clients find
them really affordable (starting at just a few dollars).
3. How long does the process take? It's
pretty quick. My availability fluctuates but I'll try to get
started with you within no more than a few days. If you have
a deadline, be sure to let me know so I can work with you
to finish within your time constraints.
4. How do I obtain copyrights of my design?
I am interested in helping my clients. You will obtain complete
ownership of your designs when I get your final payment. I
want you to be able to maximize your design in every way.
I usually just ask if it's okay that I use your design in
my online & printed portfolios to show you off.
5. Is this your full-time job? Yes! I'm
very lucky. My design studio is my sole means of income.
6. Can you redesign my existing logo or website?
Sure! We can either borrow elements from your existing
design or start from scratch. We'll talk about what works and does not work about your current design and how we can achieve a design you love and that impacts your target demographic.
7. Do you accept paypal payments? Most of my clients pay by standard check but I also accept paypal payments to ericvenuto@gmail.com. Go to paypal.com, log in and click the Send Money tab or ask me directly to send you a paypal payment request. All payments through paypal include a small $5 processing fee because they charge me a buttload (aka a percentage) like most credit card processes. Thanks for your understanding.
