Pittsburgh-based Pittsburgh Friends of The Urban Forrest, now Tree Pittsburgh, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education for, planting and maintenance of trees in the city of Pittsburgh.
Creative director Sallyjoe Guzik hired me to design this year's Mulch Madness! Poster. The final hand-made print is complemented by 2 button styles for volunteers. The fun Mulch Monster and matching pitchfork increase appeal to new demographic of young college students.
Tree Pittsburgh brought our new unique watercolor Mulch Monster pins to the Partners in Community Forestry conference in Philadelphia, and everyone wanted one! In fact, a couple of weeks later, a fellow organization representative contacted us from Maryland and asked if we could send her some! Eric's design now graces the clothes, bags, and accessories of tree non profit employees from Philadelphia to Portland, Oregon and beyond.
